Scope
This policy explains data handling at Audio Converter Online. It applies to our browser audio converter and account-based AI transcription and speech tools. Contact support@opai.online with questions or requests about your information.
Local conversion
MP3, WAV, M4A, and OGG conversion, including MP4 to MP3, runs on your device through ffmpeg.wasm. Files selected for this conversion are not uploaded to us. Downloaded files remain wherever you save them on your device. Closing a tab may discard an unfinished conversion.
AI processing
For transcription, your audio is sent to a third-party AI model provider for processing. For text-to-speech, the text is sent to that provider to generate speech. PDF text extraction happens in your browser; the extracted text is then sent for speech generation. We do not store submitted source content beyond processing. Our provider processes content as necessary to fulfill these requests; local conversion and AI processing have different privacy implications.
Accounts and results
Clerk provides sign-in and processes authentication information. We use your account identifier to associate credits and jobs with you. Results are stored in your account job history. Necessary account, job status, and credit records support access, troubleshooting, and usage accounting. Browser preferences and local history may also be saved on your device. We do not promise a fixed automatic deletion period for account results.
Cookies and technical information
Essential authentication cookies and browser storage support sign-in, preferences, and local history. Service infrastructure may process technical request information to deliver responses and investigate failures. We do not add analytics or advertising trackers. Payments and requests
Payments are coming soon. Do not send payment card details by email. For access, correction, deletion, or retention questions, contact support@opai.online from the address associated with your account. We may need to verify the request before changing account information. Clearing browser storage removes local preferences and history but does not by itself delete server-side account results or your Clerk account.
Your choices and policy updates
Submit only content you are entitled to process, and consider other people mentioned in recordings. No online service can guarantee absolute security. You can avoid AI processing by using only local format conversion. We will publish changes to this policy here with an updated date.
